You should have a strong Mechanical Engineering background. You will be working on technically complicated projects with multidisciplinary teams and will have the confidence to take on a challenging position and provide leadership to your team. Responsibilities: All aspects of design, from initial concept through to production release Lead and/or participate in design reviews to ensure designs meet required specifications Identify, implement and record engineering design changes Support continuous improvement activities to ensure programme targets are met Effective handover of products to ensure successful production release Define detailed system specifications for new product developments Requirements: Excellent degree (2:1 or above) in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar with a strong mechanical bias Experience of successfully developing and commercialising complex systems or scientific instruments for low to medium volume manufacture Track record of developing designs that achieve cost and quality targets within agreed timescales At least 7 years'' experience conceptualising and developing complex systems containing hardware, electronics and software, ideally for life-science, biological or ..... full job details .....
