Love the buzz of retail, thrive on the numbers and know how to turn great product into brilliant commercial performance? This could be right up your street!
We''re looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser to join a leading fashion retailer, taking ownership of the Bags & Accessories department during a maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a fast-paced retail environment, shape trading decisions and lead a team of two Assistant Merchandisers and two Merchandising Admin Assistants.
Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you''ll work closely with Buying and Design to build commercially strong ranges, maximise sales and profit, and make sure the right product gets to the right place at the right time.
What you''ll be getting stuck into:
- Own the numbers: Drive sales, profit and stock performance, keeping a close eye on departmental KPIs and identifying opportunities to maximise results.
- Trade with confidence: Lead WSSI reviews, forecasting, OTB and stock management, making smart, commercially driven decisions in a changing retail environment.
- Shape the range: Partner with Buying and Design to deliver balanced, customer-focused ranges that reflect the brand strategy, respond to trends and deliver the right commercial mix.
- Keep things moving: Manage stock flow, commitments and product sign-offs, balancing margin, quality, availability and flexibility.
- Build great relationships: Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and suppliers, influencing decisions and finding solutions that benefit the wider business.
- Lead and inspire: Manage, coach and develop your team of two AMs and two MAAs, creating a positive team culture where people feel supported, challenged and motivated to succeed.
What we''re looking for
You''ll already be an experienced Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser, ideally within fashion retail, with a strong commercial mindset and the confidence to take ownership of a department.
You''ll bring excellent WSSI, forecasting, stock and OTB knowledge, alongside the ability to spot risks, identify opportunities and make decisions that drive performance. Just as importantly, you''ll be a natural people leader who enjoys developing others, building relationships and working collaboratively across teams.
You''re comfortable with pace, confident challenging the status quo and always looking for ways to do things better.
