Leading independent consultancy in the construction and infrastructure sectors, are currently seeking a Senior MEP Estimator to join their team in London.Key Responsibilities:
Analyse and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documentsPrepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, BMS, lighting, power, etc.Obtain and analyse supplier and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and competitivenessDevelop and maintain pricing databases and cost librariesEnsure estimates comply with technical and contractual requirementsContribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives during the bid processProvide support to the project management team during the pre-construction and delivery phasesLiaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessaryAttend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and technical reviewsIdentify potential risks, opportunities, and alternatives in the estimating processEnsure contingency is appropriately factored into cost estimatesJob Requirements:
Experience in MandE estimating within the construction or infrastructure markets industryStrong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within constructionAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsProficient in estimating software (e.g. Costex or similar)Excellent numerical and analytical skillsAttention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlinesHNC/HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related fieldFamiliarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS7671, CIBSE, NICEIC)Opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and high-profile projectsProfessional development and continuous learning opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative team environmentComprehensive employee benefits packageIf you are a seasoned MEP Estimator with a passion for delivering accurate and efficient cost estimates within the construction industry, we would love to hear from you.
