This role is pivotal in shaping Ipsen’s scientific engagement, governance, and patient-centric initiatives in the UK and Ireland cluster.**Key Responsibilities*** Lead and develop the UK and Ireland Medical Affairs team, including Medical Affairs Managers, MSLs, Clinical Operations, and Pharmacovigilance Scientists.* Provide strategic medical leadership within the UK and Ireland Leadership Team (UKILT).* Ensure compliance with EU and national regulations, GVP, GCP, GDP, and the ABPI Code of Practice.* Act as a scientific ambassador, offering expert input into promotional and educational materials.* Foster relationships with patient organisations and academic communities to support Ipsen’s patient-centric mission.**Candidate Profile*** Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD); Registered Physician or Pharmacist preferred.* Minimum 5 years’ senior-level experience in Medical Affairs; prior Medical Director experience advantageous.* Proven leadership in cross-functional and multicultural environments.* Strong understanding of ethics, compliance, and ABPI Code; Final Signatory experience preferred.* Excellent communication skills in English; additional languages (e.g., French) are a plus.At Ipsen, we are committed to creating real impact every day—for patients, society, and our teams.
