Senior Mechanical Estimator

The OpportunityDue to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially aware estimator with a strong background in mechanical building services and MEP projects.You will play a key role in preparing, managing, and submitting competitive tenders for a variety of mechanical and MEP projects, whilst identifying value engineering opportunities and mitigating commercial risk.Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyse technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost plans and tender submissions.
• Quantify labour, materials, plant, specialist equipment, and subcontract packages.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities within tender documents.
• Develop value engineering solutions to improve project viability and competitiveness.
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners throughout the tender process.
• Support project handovers to operational teams following successful tender awards.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years'' experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the construction, engineering, or MEP contractor sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services, plant equipment, and construction methods.
• Proven experience preparing detailed tender submissions for mechanical projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software packages.
