The Role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you''ll play a key role in delivering engineering and technical activities across a variety of complex projects. You''ll use your engineering knowledge and practical experience to support project delivery while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards.
Working closely with customers, project teams and other engineering disciplines, you''ll contribute to the successful delivery of innovative engineering solutions from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical engineering design and technical solutions.
• Produce, review and approve engineering calculations, analyses, technical reports, drawings and design documentation.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant procedures, codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to project safety assessments and design reviews.
• Identify, communicate and manage technical and project risks.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering best practice.

What We''re Looking For
You''ll be an enthusiastic engineer with a collaborative approach and a passion for delivering engineering excellence.
You''ll ideally have:

• Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• A strong mechanical engineering background with experience delivering a variety of engineering tasks across projects of varying complexity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The ability to manage your workload while contributing effectively to wider project teams.
• Experience working within regulated engineering environments is advantageous.

Nuclear experience is not essential. We welcome applications from engineers with backgrounds in defence, aerospace, manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, rail, marine and other complex engineering sectors.

Qualifications
Essential

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline), or significant relevant engineering experience.

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) Clearance.
