Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical Engineer 2 vacancies Barrow59.33ph umbrella (inside of IR35). 12 Months initially Lead the development of solutions to technical issues as a member of an integrated project team, reporting to Technical Leads and directly to the customer. Developing design solutions based on customer or internally derived requirements, validating, and verifying through the design process. Review and check design work and technical reports, providing help and direction to less experienced engineers. Carrying out technical analysis and investigations, and preparing reports with suggested recommendations to support the resolution of problems and the improvement of engineering capability. Planning, delivering, and monitoring assigned projects or work packages, ensuring that requirements are delivered to plan. Populate design development documentation using a Formal Design Review process through the stages of: Requirements and Root Cause Analysis Developing Candidate Solutions Candidate down selection and risk reduction Development for manufacture Qualification Concept generation and development of weapons sub systems. Develop designs in line with requirements and all quality and technical standards. Perform technical investigations, including evaluation of technical options, supporting calculations and preparation of reports with recommendations.
