      <description>Location: Hertfordshire | Salary: 25.00-25.00 Hourly | Type: Contract | Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team and support the development of innovative products designed for harsh and demanding environments. This role is ideal for a self-motivated engineer who can work autonomously, collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, and take ownership of designs from concept through to manufacture. You will be responsible for designing enclosures and mechanisms for environments including extreme temperatures, marine conditions, and military-standard applications, using SolidWorks to create production-ready designs and documentation. Key Responsibilities  Design mechanical components, enclosures, assemblies, and mechanisms in SolidWorks. Produce detailed technical drawings, BoMs, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation. Develop prototypes, test fixtures, and product specifications. Conduct mechanical testing, verification, and reporting. Review designs and drawings to ensure quality and manufacturability.
