This role will involve developing and substantiating mechanical design solutions from concept through to detailed design, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards and nuclear safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Develop concept, scheme and detailed mechanical designs, including 3D models, engineering drawings and technical documentation. Produce design risk assessments, support engineering calculations and work closely with stress engineers to substantiate designs. Develop technical files and support CE Marking / UKCA conformity assessments. Ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, codes and standards, including the Machinery Directive, PUWER, LOLER and CDM.
