Senior Mechanical Engineer ESL

Permanent, Full Time

Hours:

40 hours per week.

Role Profile

Provide design deliverables that satisfy safety and quality requirements.

Produce design calculations and drawings for the water industry.

Direct and develop CAD technicians and more junior designers and graduates.

Direct, prepare scopes for and check output of subcontract MandE design teams

Liaise with equipment suppliers and manufacturers

Prepare design investigations, reports and specifications.

Design in compliance with relevant technical, professional and group standards.

Ensure project change for design package is fully implemented and recorded.

Estimate hours required for design packages

Present and attend at meetings and design presentations

What we require from you

10 years’ mechanical design experience in the UK water industry

significant experience in hydraulic design

Awareness of electrical design and control systems.

Good level of IT skills

Registered with professional body and working towards chartership

Where

Full time from our office in Trafford House, M32 0RS

Occasional site visits for which travel expenses will be paid

Working from homeHybrid possibility for strong candidates at company discretion. Minimum 3 days in the office per week.

The Projects you’ll be working onVaried projects across the UK water industry, including various UMON projects in Sewage Treatment Works.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Chartered engineer

Experience in electrical and/or control engineering

Experience in UMON schemes

Experience in wastewater and clean water, infra and non-infra

Awareness of construction methods and materials.

Knowledge of engineering drawing practices.
