A leading engineering organisation in Surrey is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of complex mechanical systems from concept through to production. This position offers the chance to work on high-integrity, performance-critical products where innovation, precision, and engineering excellence are central to the work.

Key Responsibilities - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer 

• Lead the mechanical design of assemblies and components involving automation/complex moving parts.
• Produce high-quality 3D models and detailed drawings using a modern 3D CAD package (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or similar)
• Drive concept development, prototyping, testing, and design validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electronics, manufacturing, and systems engineering
• Ensure designs meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements

About You - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer 

• Proven experience in special purpose machinery with experience of designing automation products/systems. Complex moving parts etc
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD tools and engineering documentation standards
• Solid understanding of materials, tolerances, manufacturing processes, and mechanical engineering best practice
• Proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving
