Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Industry: Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Salary: 60k- 65k Location: Suffolk An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business supporting a global customer base. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will play a key role in leading day to day activities, product improvement, customisation projects, and technical support activities across a varied product portfolio. This position would suit a proactive engineer who enjoys a mix of leadership, design, problem solving, project coordination, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead product enhancement and customisation projects from concept through to release Provide day to day leadership of the design team Manage engineering changes, technical documentation, and drawing updates Produce 2D and 3D CAD models Support manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and production teams with technical queries Carry out prototype development, testing, and validation activities Participate in design reviews, FMEA activities, and engineering investigations Skills and Experience Required: Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline Previous experience leading and mentoring engineers Strong 2D and 3D CAD modelling experience Good understanding of GDandT and engineering drawing standards Experience supporting ..... full job details .....
