Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Industry: Medical Devices Salary: 60k- 73k (dependent on experience) Location: Cambridge An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join an innovative technology company developing cutting-edge medical devices. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in the development of precision mechanical systems for next-generation drug delivery products, taking designs from early-stage concepts through to high-volume manufacture Key Responsibilities Take ownership of designs from concept through to production Develop precision mechanical components and assemblies Produce 3D CAD drawings and supporting documentation Support prototype builds, testing, and engineering investigations Apply DFM and DFA principles to optimise designs for scalable production Assess tolerance stack-ups and the impact of manufacturing variation on performance Key Skills and Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Previous experience developing medical devices through the full product lifecycle is a must Strong 3D CAD skills Knowledge of injection moulding and high-volume manufacturing processes is a must Understanding of precision mechanisms and tolerance analysis Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple technical workstreams If you''re looking to join a business that combines technical excellence, creativity, and innovation while working on a wide variety of challenging ..... full job details .....
