The successful candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design, strong 3D CAD capabilities, and a practical understanding of engineering calculations and manufacturing processes.Senior Design EngineerPermanent PositionSalary: Competitive (DOE)Monday to FridayBirminghamSenior Design Engineer• Design and develop valves, hydraulic products, and mechanical assemblies from concept through to production• Produce detailed engineering drawings and 3D CAD models in line with BS8888 standards• Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design records• Carry out engineering calculations including pressure and flow calculations using MathCAD templates and hand calculations where required• Support the industrialisation of products, ensuring designs are optimised for manufacture and assembly• Work closely with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure robust product delivery• Modify and improve existing products to enhance performance, reliability, and manufacturability• Support prototype development, testing, and validation ..... full job details .....
