Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

With ambitious plans for long-term market leadership, the company continues to invest heavily in product development capability, infrastructure, and people.The opportunityThis is a senior-level mechanical design role with genuine influence across a busy and robust new product development pipeline. You will play a leading role in taking products from early concept through to manufacture, working from first principles and closely collaborating with a large, established Design and Engineering function.Key responsibilities include:Leading mechanical design activities across multiple new product development projectsDesigning from first principles, producing robust 3D models, detailed 2D drawings, and engineering calculationsPerforming FEA analysis to validate and optimise designsWorking closely with manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure design for manufacture and design for costSupporting prototyping, testing, and validation using in-house facilitiesCreating and maintaining BOMs and supporting configuration tools to enable efficient manufactureApplying a strong understanding of manufacturing processes Playing a visible role in continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and ..... full job details .....
