Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our industry leading manufacturing client with their search for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

Key Duties:

• Reporting to the Design Manager in a busy design office, working within the engineering team.
• Responsible for aspects of the design from conception to sign off and be heavily involved in the layouts, associated calculations for verification and detailed design.
• Responsible for managing the implementation of innovative solutions & design changes.
• Working within a small team, you will be expected to use own initiative to deliver projects within specification and on time.

Key Requirements:

• Educated to degree level or higher, you will be a self motivated and task orientated Engineer used to working within a small to medium sized business unit.
• Good working knowledge of basic engineering principles and preferably have at least 5 years experience in bulk materials handling, conveyors systems and structural steel.
• Experience of working with engineering standards would be a distinct advantage.
• The ideal candidate will have Inventor and Vault experience as well as Microsoft Project.
• Must have an organised and methodical approach to the work-load, have an aptitude to processing procedural work i.e. NCR''s ECR''s etc. An understanding of FEA, DFM would be desirable.

The Package:

• -45,000 - -55,000 per annum depending on experience.
• Office based role, Monday - Friday.
• Occasional travel overseas.
