Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Titles: 1x Mechanical Design Engineer 1x Lead Mechanical Design Engineer (leading a team) Location: Dundee so we welcome candidate''s locally from Fife or Angus Salary: 50,000 - 75,000, dependent on experience About the role: We''re looking to grow our mechanical design team with 2x new hires, and we''re open to bringing this person in as a Mechanical Design Engineer or a Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, depending on the calibre and experience of the right candidate. Following recent investment, there is genuine scope for the role and the team to grow further, so we''re keen to hear from strong candidates at either level. This is a face paced environment and high precision manufacturing so we need passionate mechanical staff! You will work proactively and collaboratively with clients, staff and other networked experts to provide comprehensive design and high-level, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions, and to produce high-quality, detailed and accurate engineering documentation that drives the successful delivery of projects and product development initiatives. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for formulating and producing valid and viable design solutions quickly, taking projects from concept through to customer delivery. This is underpinned by an acute, practical understanding of mechanical systems, assemblies, 3D modelling, manufacturing operations, BOM creation, 2D drawings, and available materials and technologies.
