Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A leading engineering and water infrastructure organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team.This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical engineer with experience in the water and wastewater sector to play a key role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective engineering solutions across a range of projects.The Role You will be responsible for: Producing and checking mechanical design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, schedules and calculations. Developing cost-effective designs that meet project specifications, programme and budget requirements. Coordinating mechanical designs with other engineering disciplines and contributing to 3D plant/site models. Working closely with construction teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure designs are practical and buildable. Supporting proposals and tenders with technical input and cost estimates. Ensuring designs comply with relevant industry standards, CDM 2015 and health and safety requirements. Supporting the development of engineering processes and procedures. Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers. Maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery. About You You will ideally have: Significant experience in mechanical engineering design within the water, wastewater or process engineering sector.
