We are looking for people to join our fantastic team at Somerset House Trust. As the home of cultural innovators, the Trust connects creativity and the arts with the broader society. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join the UK’s largest creative community of artists and home of cultural innovation, Somerset House. You will work with our Head of Marketing and Audiences to lead and execute our marketing strategies, driving brand growth and business performance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating and implementing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels both online and offline, managing budgets, and leading a team.Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement audience first marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, market share, and revenue growth with both our existing audiences and prospective growth audiences.Identify and monitor full funnel marketing mix strategies to build integrated, engaging consumer-first brand experiences that grow our market share.Lead on the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns for our cultural programming calendar and key moments across digital, email, content, and traditional media.Support brand and specific campaign storytelling through compelling communications.Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, using data to refine strategies and improve ROI.Ensure all of the creative and content teams are fully onboarded to strategies so that all of our content supports strategic plans to drive increased reach and engagement.Manage and report on marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve maximum impact.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including exhibitions, live, development, commercial and visitor experience, to ensure alignment and support for marketing initiatives.Build and maintain relationships with external partners, such as agencies, vendors, and media outlets, to amplify marketing efforts.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in marketing within arts and culture, preferable client side.Understanding of ticketing, sales and conversion focused marketing within cultural or live organisations.Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver across multiple campaigns.Familiarity with audience segmentation models.Demonstrable experience in providing value and driving brand awareness through online and offline channels.Solid understanding of brand strategy and how culture shapes a brand.Awareness of equity, diversity and inclusion principles in marketing and audience development.Highly entrepreneurial – autonomy, strategic thinking and collaboration are critical to drive our brand.A growth mindset - eager to improve our ways of working and passionate about continuously upskilling yourself.A deep understanding of consumer trends and insights.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative marketing strategies within a range of budgets.Excellent management skills.Ability to create clear and compelling reports for key stakeholders.Passionate about arts and culture and how this sector challenges and reshapes society.Benefits
