Senior Marine Hull Underwriter

Hays is working exclusively with a highly respected, international insurance organisation to recruit a Senior Marine Hull Underwriter to join their London-based team. This is a rare opportunity to work with complex, high-value risks across the global marine market. Your new role As a Senior Marine Hull Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing and developing a profitable portfolio of marine business. In this role, you will underwrite complex Marine Hull risks and negotiate terms with brokers across international markets. You will also take ownership of major and technically challenging claims, working closely with surveyors, adjusters and legal specialists to ensure they are handled efficiently and appropriately. In addition, you will contribute to the strategic growth of the portfolio by maintaining and enhancing long-term relationships with brokers, shipowners and other key partners. You will ensure that all underwriting and claims activity complies fully with FCA regulations, Lloyd''s requirements and internal governance frameworks.
