This role will suit a marine electronics professional with strong experience of navigation and communication systems, including radar, gyro compass, GPS, VHF and MF/HF radio systems, who enjoys a varied mix of installation, commissioning, fault finding and survey work. The Role Install, commission, service and maintain marine electronic, navigation and communication systems. Undertake fault finding, repairs and upgrades onboard vessels and at customer sites. Work on radar, sonar, GPS, ECDIS, gyro compasses, VHF/MF/HF radio systems, VDR and internal communication systems. Carry out vessel surveys, radio surveys and VDR performance testing. Ensure all installations comply with relevant maritime regulations and international standards. Provide technical guidance and support to engineers undertaking complex installations, commissioning and fault-finding activities. Produce service reports and technical documentation.
