Your mission

As a Senior Manager, you will work closely with clients to manage consultancy teams to drive savings and

transform procurement functions through excellent procurement. Confident leading a team, you will manage all aspects of client relationships and you’ll relish a big challenge. Most of all, you willl need to be energetic and highly motivated with the passion to achieve outstanding results.

You should have a passion for procurement and proven experience leading cost optimization and reduction

programmes ideally in a multi-national environment. Experience working within a consultancy environment

where procurement transformation is a focus is desired.

Responsibilities

As well as managing projects, you will be involved in all aspects of a fast-growing, entrepreneurial management consultancy including business development, practice development and building leading-edge methodologies to support client services. We are looking for ambitious people with the capability to become Partners in the business. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and leading consultancy projectsManaging senior client relationshipsManaging a variety of stakeholders, at all levelsManaging high-performing consulting teams and individualsImplementation of cost improvement and procurement transformation programmesConducting key supplier negotiationsSupporting, coaching and delivering all aspects of procurement cost reduction; from spend analysis to sourcing to contract implementationSupporting business development, practice development and methodology development

Your Experience (desired)

Leading value optimization/change programmes (within a procurement environment)Strong category knowledge across Indirects, ideally, within a multi-national environmentProcess optimisation/improvement

Your profile

Our Senior Managers bring a range of skills to the HandZ team. Ideally you will have:

An excellent degreeAt least five years’ experience of corporate consultancy or eight years’ strategic procurement with the capability and drive to switch to a consulting careerBackground of personally delivering procurement outcomes across direct and indirect spend areasStrong analytical skills and enjoy solving complex problemsProject management skillsetTeam management experiencePassion for solving complex problemsClear understanding of procurementExcellent client management and relationship building skillsExcellent good communication skillsGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPointGreat people skills and able to work hard as part of a teamAbility to work well under pressureFluent in English and another European language as an advantageDesire to play a key role in developing a growing Procurement consultancy

Working Arrangements and Travel

Our Consultants are completely flexible and mobile in their working; travelling and operating on-site with clients,

working with our teams from HandZ offices and also working from home. Work location is determined by the client,

the project, and the business. There is no fixed pattern, and each week could be different, so you must enjoy

travel, be able to work remotely and be flexible.
