As the
Senior Manager, Procurement Excellence
at Burberry, you will drive the transformation of our procurement function towards best-in-class performance. You’ll ovrssee procurement excellence by identifying process gaps, delivering continuous improvement, and shaping strategies that enhance capability, governance, compliance, and innovation. This role plays a key part in advancing procurement maturity and supporting the organisation’s strategic, commercial, and sustainability goals across the full Source-to-Pay lifecycle.This Senior Manager, Procurement Excellence role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be based in our Queen Street, Leeds office for a minimum of 3 days per week.RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and execution of procurement excellence strategies to achieve best-in-class Source-to-Pay performanceDrive process improvement, standardisation, and automation across the procurement lifecycleLead or support strategic procurement transformation projects, ensuring timely, on-budget deliveryOversee S2P/P2P process enhancements, cost governance, and financial transparency initiativesEmbed strong governance frameworks and promote procurement policy compliance and risk controlsCollaborate with stakeholders to enhance understanding, engagement, and transparency in procurement activitiesBuild procurement capability through training, mentoring, and continuous team developmentMonitor and report on procurement KPIs, providing insights to support data-driven decision-makingManage and evolve the Procurement Spend Cube to support category strategies and continuous improvementChampion sustainable and socially responsible procurement, including ESG and supplier diversity initiativesPERSONAL PROFILE
Previous experience of Procurement Excellence position with the ability to demonstrate continued improvement within the procurement functionAnalytical with great attention to detail and an ability to troubleshoot complex problems, identify process issues and ensure accuracy and compliance to procurement processesKnowledge and understanding of procurement principles, governance, compliance, risk management and best practice through the Source to Pay cycleProficiency of procurement technologies (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle,) and data visualisation tools is a plusUsing information to create reports for different users and being able to communicate effectivelyDemonstrate good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficientlyGreat interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate previous experience of senior stakeholder engagementAble to remain calm and work independently and effectively under pressurePrevious role within a large, listed, multinational company is a plusRequires good understanding of IT systems and processesBurberry is an Equal Opportunities Employer and as such, treats all applications equally and recruits purely on the basis of skills and ..... full job details .....
