A Senior Manager, Data Centre-Commissioning is required for a mission-critical infrastructure business building and operating AI-focused cloud platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced commissioning professional who wants to shape commissioning standards, processes and delivery methods rather than inherit an established framework.

The Senior Manager, Data Centre Commissioning will take ownership of commissioning activities across live projects, working closely with project delivery teams, equipment partners and Operations stakeholders to ensure completed sites are ready for operational use.

This opportunity suits someone who combines strong technical commissioning experience with the ability to build processes, solve problems on-site and develop a commissioning function as project requirements grow.

The Senior Manager, Data Centre-Commissioning Role:

• Lead commissioning activities across live data centre projects, travelling to sites as required
• Develop commissioning methodologies, readiness processes and checklists
• Own the transition period between construction completion and operational go-live
• Prepare and manage handover packages into Operations teams
• Work with project teams, equipment partners and operational stakeholders throughout commissioning
• Build and develop a commissioning capability as project delivery expands
• Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout commissioning activities

Senior Manager, Data Centre Commissioning Requirements:

• Proven hands-on commissioning experience within data centres or other mission-critical infrastructure environments
• Experience delivering commissioning activities through energisation and operational readiness stages
• Strong understanding of Level 1 to Level 5 commissioning activities
• Comfortable developing commissioning processes and methodologies from practical experience
• Willingness to travel between live project sites as required
• Ability to identify and resolve issues directly in live site environments

Desirable Experience:

• Experience commissioning both air-cooled and liquid-cooled (DLC) systems
• Exposure to Integrated Systems Testing (IST) methodologies
• Experience delivering commissioning projects across Europe and/or the US
