Our client, a prestigious multinational bank, is seeking a Senior Manager to join a high-performing finance team in their London HQ. This role is ideal for technically strong finance professionals with deep IFRS 9 expertise and experience in large, complex banking environments.This position sits within the Global IFRS 9 Calculation and Reporting team, part of the wider Financial Operations function. The team plays a critical role in shaping external credit disclosures, interpreting evolving accounting standards, and driving improvements in impairment reporting processes. The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence credit reporting at scale.Responsibilities

Act as a subject matter expert on credit risk for the Finance community, working closely with Wholesale and Retail Credit Risk teams.Design and review analytics to support IFRS 9 impairment results and associated external disclosures.Collaborate with Investor Relations, External Reporting, Risk Strategy, and Regulatory Reporting to deliver best-in-class credit disclosures.Support Financial Controllers and the Global CRO in credit review and challenge processes.Lead projects on new disclosure implementations and peer reviews.Ensure compliance with listing requirements and regulatory standards.Maintain a robust and compliant control environment.Required Skills and Experience

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).Strong technical knowledge of IFRS 9 and financial reporting in a Group context.Experience working in a large, complex financial institution—ideally a bulge bracket bank or Big Four firm.Proven ability to write clear, concise technical papers and communicate complex financial concepts to senior stakeholders.Experience in preparing or auditing published financial statements.Strong stakeholder management skills across geographies and functions.A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.If your experience aligns with this opportunity and you''d like to learn more, please apply below or reach out to jordandyer@brewermorris.com.Seniority level
