Senior Management Accountant

The Role As Senior Management Accountant you''ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, taking ownership of the monthly management accounts for a portfolio of entities, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and provide meaningful financial insight to operational stakeholders. You''ll also act as line manager for one person. Produce accurate monthly management accounts, including Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet and supporting schedules. Ownership of entity trial balances, ensuring all financial information is complete and accurate. Prepare and post journals, incl. accruals, prepayments and other month end adjustments. Balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances. Process intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple entities. Provide clear commentary on financial performance, highlighting key variances against budget and forecast. Support the preparation of annual budgets and regular financial forecasts. Build strong relationships with operational managers, providing financial support and commercial insight. Maintain the fixed asset register and monitor capital expenditure.
