Senior Management Accountant

SF Partners are delighted to be working with an ambitious medium-sized business based in West Bromwich to recruit a Senior Management Accountant into their finance team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and wants to be involved in more than just month-end reporting. The business is well-established, growing steadily and offers the chance to work closely with senior finance and operational teams.

The role will suit a Management Accountant who is comfortable taking ownership of monthly accounts, reporting, analysis and supporting the wider business with useful financial insight.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts
• Produce variance analysis and commentary
• Support budgeting and forecasting
• Manage accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with cash flow reporting and financial planning
• Work closely with non-finance stakeholders to explain performance
• Support process improvements across finance
• Assist with year-end and audit requirements
• Provide ad hoc analysis for senior management

The successful candidate will:

• Have experience producing management accounts
• Be qualified or qualified by experience
• Have strong Excel skills
• Be confident working with finance and non-finance teams
• Be hands-on, accurate and able to meet deadlines
• Have experience within an SME or medium-sized business environment
