More about your roleAs our new Senior Management Accountant you will work closely with the Finance Director and senior team members to guide and mentor the team, ensuring high-quality monthly management accounts. You will take ownership of key financial and non-financial reporting, including KPIs, cashflow forecasts, variance analysis, and WIP reporting. You will contribute to business planning, support month-end and ad-hoc reporting, and play a key role in high-profile projects. You''ll also be involved in audit responses, board reporting, and adapting to evolving reporting requirements — all while line managing two team members.This is a hybrid role, you will be required to attend the Eastleigh office 2 days a week, to be considered for this role you will need to be within a commutable distance of this location.For more information, please download our job profile available on our website.
Essential Criteria
Professional Qualification: Fully qualified or passed finalist with a CCAB-recognised body (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA), or demonstrable equivalent experience.IT Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., use of pivot tables, LOOKUPs, complex formulas) and ability to demonstrate practical, flexible problem-solving using IT tools.Workload Management: Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities independently under pressure, with examples of meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality. With experience working month end deadlines.Data Presentation and Storytelling: Ability to present financial data clearly and concisely, translating complex information into meaningful insights and compelling narratives that support decision-making and engage non-financial stakeholders.
More About youTo succeed in this role, you''ll need to be a qualified or part-qualified CCAB member (or have equivalent experience) with a strong commitment to excellent internal and external customer service. You''ll bring advanced IT skills—especially in Excel—along with practical problem-solving abilities. Strong planning, prioritisation, and the ability to work independently under pressure are key. You''ll also need to build effective relationships across Developments and the wider Group. Ideally, you''ll have experience in management accounts within a complex organisation, knowledge of Development or Construction, familiarity with COINS, and strong communication skills.
