Senior Management Accountant

We are working with an established and successful manufacturing business based in Haverhill who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified or part-qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with the wider business and wants to play an important role in maintaining robust financial controls, supporting month-end reporting and providing meaningful financial information to senior management. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, technically strong and comfortable working in a busy manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts. Support the month-end and year-end close processes. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations. Analyse financial performance, identifying variances and key trends. Provide financial information and analysis to senior management to support business decisions. Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning. Maintain strong financial controls and ensure accounting processes are accurate and effective. Oversee and review transactional finance activities where required. Support stock accounting, inventory reporting and manufacturing-related financial analysis. Assist with standard costing, product costing and analysis of manufacturing variances.
