Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor - Contract

Central London | -475550 per day | Outside IR35 | Long-term contract

We are recruiting a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor for an established M&E contractor with a turnover of approximately -160m. The business delivers residential, mixed-use and commercial projects with M&E values of up to -50m.

You will join a commercial design and build project in central London during pre-construction, taking responsibility for its commercial management through delivery. This is a long-term contract with the opportunity to progress into a Commercial Manager role, overseeing multiple schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of the M&E package from pre-construction through to final account.

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, cost reports and cash flow updates.

• Manage procurement, subcontractor packages, valuations and payments.

• Identify and manage variations, risks and commercial opportunities.

• Work closely with the project team to protect programme and margin.

• Lead negotiations and maintain strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.

What we''re looking for

• At least five years'' experience working for an M&E contractor in a quantity surveying role.

• Proven experience commercially managing M&E projects valued at -10m or more.

• A relevant quantity surveying qualification.

• Strong knowledge of procurement, cost control, contracts and final accounts.

• The confidence to take commercial ownership of a major project and support the development of more junior team members.

Rate: -475550 per day, outside IR35.
