Senior Legal Counsel

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a Public Sector Financial Institution in their search for an Interim Senior Legal Counsel to join their Legal Team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services lawyer to work at the intersection of government, financial markets and public policy, supporting a wide range of complex and high-profile legal matters.Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will provide strategic and operational legal advice across a diverse portfolio of work. The role has a strong focus on financial markets and financial services law, supporting activities relating to debt capital markets, money markets, derivatives, lending and fund management. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, advising on both day-to-day legal matters and longer-term strategic initiatives.A key part of the role will involve drafting and negotiating complex financial documentation, including market-facing agreements and counterparty arrangements. You will also monitor regulatory developments across the financial services sector, identifying potential impacts and advising on appropriate responses.
