Senior Lawyer role at Manchester City Council.Responsibilities
Provide legal advice to children''s services supporting them in all aspects of their statutory functions.Support Manchester, Rochdale and Salford’s Children’s Services as part of an effective legal team.Work as part of a team with opportunity to mentor less experienced members and lead by example.Draft legal documentation and provide advice to clients; represent the local authority at court on a regular basis; conduct advocacy as part of childcare work.Qualifications
Qualified solicitor, barrister, Chartered Lawyer or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives holding a current practising certificate.2 references (where possible, 3 years'' history) as part of the application process.DBS clearance: appointment will be subject to Standard DBS check; information handled confidentially in line with DBS Code of Practice.
