Senior Lawyer - Litigation (Safeguarding)

The organisation is continuing to modernise and grow its legal services function, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality support to frontline safeguarding services. You will be part of a collaborative and supportive environment where your work will have a direct impact on protecting vulnerable individuals within the community.There are two positions in this team available, either on a full-time or part-time (24 hours) basis.Your new role You will join a specialist Safeguarding team, managing your own caseload and providing legal advice on a range of complex matters relating to adult social care.For those working in adult-focused roles, your caseload will primarily involve litigation in the Court of Protection, including:Managing cases from inception through to conclusionProviding clear and practical legal advice to clientsConducting your own advocacy at hearingsInstructing counsel where requiredThis is a varied role, offering a mix of remote working, office attendance, and travel to courts and other locations.What you''ll need to succeed You will be a qualified (or soon to qualify) Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEx Fellow with relevant litigation and advocacy rights.You should ideally have experience in one or more of the following areas:Court of Protection / Mental Capacity Act 2005Care Act 2014Mental Health Act 1983Community care ..... full job details .....
