Senior Lawyer - Contracts and Commercial Location: KirkleesSalary: £55,000 - £59,000 per annumExperience: NQ+Working Pattern: Hybrid / FlexibleType: Permanent Umar Tawil at CRA Consulting is currently working with a Local Authority in Kirklees who are looking to appoint a Senior Lawyer - Contracts and Commercial to join their Legal Services team. This is an opportunity for a qualified lawyer at NQ level or above with experience in contracts, commercial law and, ideally, public sector procurement. The Role You will provide legal advice across a broad range of commercial and contractual matters, supporting the Council and its services with clear, practical and commercially focused advice. Your responsibilities will include: Advising on a range of commercial contracts and agreements. Providing legal advice on procurement matters and public sector contracting. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and associated documentation. Advising internal stakeholders on contractual risks and obligations. Supporting procurement exercises and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. Working closely with Council departments and external stakeholders. Managing a varied caseload and providing timely, practical legal advice. Contributing to the wider development and delivery of the Council''s Legal Services.
