We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our clients Legal Services team, providing expert legal advice and representation in complex children and families cases. This hybrid, 5-month interim role offers the chance to work on high-impact cases that directly affect the lives of children across Manchester and Salford.Key Responsibilities

Handle complex and sensitive public and private children law mattersProvide high-quality legal advice to council departmentsRepresent the council in court and manage related legal proceedingsMentor junior staff and contribute to legal trainingEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and council policiesWhat the client is looking for

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or FCILEX (with advocacy rights)Extensive recent experience in children and families lawStrong advocacy and legal drafting skillsAbility to manage complex caseloads independentlyPolitically sensitive and solution-focused approachWhat the client offers
