The District is proud to include the internationally celebrated North Norfolk Coast, stretching from Holkham in the west to Horsey in the east, much of which is recognised for its nature conservation importance. A large proportion of the District lies within the Norfolk Coast National Landscape and the North Norfolk Heritage Coast, while the eastern part of the District forms part of the Broads National Park. The District also hosts a variety of internationally and nationally designated sites and nature reserves, home to many rare and protected species and habitats.
