Senior Lab Technician

We currently have a number of exciting roles with a highly successful, growing aerospace company in Manchester that are looking for a Senior Lab Technician (or Chemist) to join the team. The role will involve working with inorganic chemicals which heavily supports the aerospace sector. Main Duties Managing laboratory workload in line with strict testing requirements and time scales to ensure compliance with customer, national and international requirements Analysing laboratory tests for trends Ensuring correct actions are taken when warning limits have been reached within solution analysis (tank additions, drops, refills) Investigation of any failures, false failures and non-compliances Review of certificates for externally carried out testing Review of certificates for laboratory and production consumables Ensuring efficient stock control is always maintained Review of current and creating of new work instructions/technique sheets/forms, standard operating procedures and any other required documents Management of new qualification processes and support of the required testing Supporting Special Process Engineer in any additional testing requirements following customer enquiries Day to day use of electronic titration systems, artificial corrosion test chambers and other laboratory devices/equipment COSHH assessments Ensuring the health and safety procedures are always followed Supporting laboratory technician with hands on testing as required and holiday coverage ..... full job details .....
