Senior Knitwear Designer

Position: Knitwear Designer Location: Head Office, Newquay. Job Purpose: We''re seeking a talented Knitwear Designer, to lead the knitwear design process and create a beautifully crafted, sustainable knitwear collection to meet the highest standards. Inspired by our British heritage, we are looking for a passionate, innovative and collaborative Designer to join the product team, who can navigate the ever-changing landscape of fashion. Responsibilities: Research and have a thorough knowledge of current trends. Create seasonal theme boards and colour palettes that draw from our rich heritage of timeless designs, whilst evolving the brand to incorporate more contemporary and ageless inspiration. Research both aspirational brands and competitors in the knitwear market, understanding our USP, whilst highlighting any missed opportunities. Create comprehensive sourcing boards to send out to suppliers. Build and manage yarn and spec libraries. Lead the development of original knitwear designs, including sketches, technical drawings and specifications. Select appropriate yarns, stitches and knitwear techniques for each design.
