Senior Java Low-Latency Developer - 12 months - LONDON (2-3 days)- Inside IR35 We are seeking Senior Java Low-Latency Developers to join a leading global investment bank on a 12-month hybrid contract based in London (3 days on-site). You will design, develop, and deliver high-performance trading, exchange connectivity, and Direct Market Access (DMA) platforms, building resilient, scalable, latency-sensitive solutions in modern Java. Working closely with Product Management and global Engineering, QA, and Production Support teams, you will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that support the evolution of next-generation market connectivity. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support high-performance, low-latency trade execution, exchange connectivity, and DMA platforms Build resilient solutions using Core Java (JDK 17+), microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture Apply low-latency design patterns, mechanical sympathy, concurrency techniques, and systematic performance optimisation Diagnose performance bottlenecks and production issues using profiling, monitoring, observability, and root-cause analysis Develop automated testing frameworks, engineering tools, and delivery environments, and define test strategies for trading workflows and exchange integration Partner with Product Management and global engineering teams to improve platform capability, scalability, resiliency, and latency Champion Agile engineering, CI/CD, ..... full job details .....
