Senior Java Developer

Hays are now looking for a Senior Java Developer for one of our local clients:

• 3322 p/d Outside IR35
• 3 days p/w in Glasgow, rest is WFH
• 6 month contract+

The Senior Java Developer will have strong back-end Java skills and React/JSF front-end experience to deliver modern web applications in an Agile environment.

What you''ll be doing

• Developing and enhancing Java-based applications and services
• Building and supporting front-end components using React and JSF
• Delivering REST APIs and microservices
• Working closely with product, test and delivery teams
• Contributing to CI/CD, testing and continuous improvement

What we''re looking for

• Java 8+
• Spring Boot / Spring MVC
• REST APIs and microservices
• JSF
• React
• JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS
• JPA, JSP, Servlets, JDBC
• Git
• Jenkins, Maven, JIRA
• CI/CD experience
• TDD and automated testing
• Web Accessibility (NVDA, WAVE, Accessibility Insights)
• Agile/Scrum experience
• Technical leadership and client-facing experience

Nice to have: MuleSoft, Redux, Node.js, Freemarker, XHTML.
