890 per day Umbrella Inside IR35London / Hybrid (3 days on-site)Initial 6-Month ContractMy client is a leading global financial services organisation seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a large-scale enterprise technology programme. This is a senior technical role focused on leading backend application development initiatives and driving architectural decisions for robust, scalable and high-performance server-side systems. You will provide hands-on leadership in building enterprise-grade Java solutions, guiding development teams and influencing technical strategy and engineering best practices.Key Requirements7+ years of Java backend development experience.Advanced expertise in Java, Spring Boot and microservices architecture.Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and distributed systems.Experience with Oracle, SQL/NoSQL databases and data modelling.Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or other event-driven messaging technologies.Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git and DevOps practices.Experience with JUnit, automated testing and code review processes.Experience with Spring Batch and Spring Integration.Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP cloud platforms.Experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor developers and contribute to architectural decisions.Strong understanding of backend security, performance tuning and monitoring.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.The ..... full job details .....
