Working within an agile team, you will deliver high-quality, customer-focused, software to exceed the customer''s expectations. You will be active in all phases of the development lifecycle.What you will be doingTranslate functional and non-functional requirements into working software alongside your teamCollaborate with the team to analyze, debug, and resolve defectsDemonstrate a commitment to monitoring and observabilityManage technical debt effectively by avoiding its creation and removing it when possibleCommunicate clearly, translating technical and non-technical requirements as neededUnderstand timelines and dependencies, coordinating with other teams as requiredTake responsibility for product delivery and your contributions to itActively participate in relevant communities of practice associated with your roleWho we are lookingExperienced Java Developer with a positive, collaborative attitude, Agile/DevOps experience, and a understanding of the full SDLC, contract-first development, CI/CD, and monitoring toolsFoundation in Java and the Java ecosystem is essential; familiarity with SpringBoot, Kafka (or other messaging platforms), Postgres (or other SQL databases), Cassandra (or other NoSQL databases), Docker, GitLab, and GitLab CI is desirableKnowledge of monitoring, logging, and cloud platforms like New Relic, Splunk, AWS Lambdas, Kubernetes, ISTIO, Terraform, and OpenAPI is beneficial but not requiredOpen-mindedness and curiosity about new technologies are highly valuedWhat we offerOur roles offer more than just a job, you''ll become part of the William Hill family!
