Senior Java Developer
- Long Term Contracting Role, 12+ months with multiple extensions
- Technology transformation programme
- Central Dublin, hybrid working
Senior Java Developer required for a long term contracting role with a large public services body who are undertaking a large programme to replace an existing legacy system and bring it forward to a modern architecture.
The role is best suited to a Senior Java Developer who has proven experience in migration / transformation programmes, exposure to government projects is a bonus!
The current system is old / creaking and long overdue an upgrade! Its being moved to a modern cloud / microservice based architecture. This is a huge development program.
Desired Skills / Experience
- 6+ years Java development experience
- Strong experience building enterprise microservice applications using Spring Boot
- Experience in large migration projects is a bonus
- Ideally experience in building cloud native tech using the likes of Kubernetes / Docker etc. is desired
- Some exposure to Angular (or similar) is desired
- Strong appreciation for best practices across testing and deployments.
