At Saab, we are expanding in the UK and seeking a passionate, talented and highly motivated technical IT Project Manager. You will be responsible for delivering complex IT infrastructure projects and supporting the delivery of IT change initiatives across Saab UK.Key responsibilities include identifying, planning, managing and selecting appropriate resources (including third parties and suppliers) to deliver required services; ensuring deliverables meet standards through effective governance, planning, and risk/issue/dependency management; managing day-to-day delivery and acting as the first point of contact for issues; coordinating technical IT changes; managing project finances and forecasting; and communicating with stakeholders to enable effective decision making.Responsibilities
Identify, plan, manage and select appropriate resources (including third parties and suppliers) to deliver IT services.Ensure deliverables meet required standards through governance, project plans, scope management, and risk/issue/dependency management.Manage day-to-day project delivery and act as the first point of contact for issues with timely resolution.Coordinate technical IT changes with a broad IT background.Operate projects within the defined Governance framework.Manage project finances, forecast accuracy and changes affecting schedule, budget or scope.Communicate with stakeholders to provide actionable insight for informed decision making.Skills and Experience
IT infrastructure experience including the full project lifecycle is essentialProven delivery experience across diverse and complex technology areas (e.g., Infrastructure: Networks, Servers, Storage; Networking; Windows, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V; IT Security)Technical acumen and experience of complex secure environmentsProficient user of a known Project Planning toolStrong planning capability and ability to identify key dependencies across project activitiesQuality and governance of deliverySelf-motivated, resilient and able to work under pressureExcellent communication and presentation skillsEffective senior stakeholder managementGood team motivator and collaborative skillsQualifications
At least 5 years experience in Project ManagementPRINCE2 or equivalent project management methodologyDemonstrates good overall IT knowledgeHas worked in secure environmentsCompliance
