Job Title: Senior Installation Electrician, Solar PV
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 base + bonus up to £8,500
Location: Regional office, Oxford

Why this role
You'll be the senior electrician on residential solar and battery installs, and you'll stay on the tools. You'll lead jobs on site, make the technical calls and make sure every home gets a clean, compliant install and a confident handover. The business is growing fast, so there is a real chance to take on more. That means supporting the wider team, helping shape how installs are planned and run, and moving into a leadership role as volumes rise.

What you'll do

• Carry out and lead residential solar PV and battery installations, from first fix to commissioning.

• Check system designs against survey reports and proposals before work starts, and flag anything that doesn't add up.

• Solve technical problems on site, working with installers, scaffolders and the technical team.

• Support and mentor other installers, and act as the go-to person for quality and compliance.

• Be a friendly, professional point of contact for homeowners on install day, and explain their system clearly.

• Complete commissioning records and handover packs, including MCS documentation.

• Over time, get involved in planning: checking bills of materials, sequencing jobs and helping build a smoother, repeatable install process.

About you

• A fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition BS 7671, or equivalent).

• Solid experience in domestic installation work, ideally with solar PV or battery storage.

• High standards, and a good eye for detail on compliance and safety.

• A calm problem-solver who is happy to take the lead on site.

• Good with customers and with the team around you.

• Keen to develop, and interested in moving into supervision or management.

• A NICEIC Qualified Supervisor qualification would be a plus, or you'd like to work towards one.
