Senior InspectorLocation: Brentwood, EssexSalary: Circa 40,000 per annumHours: Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm Friday 8:00am-12:00pmA global distribution business supplying the aerospace industry is looking for an experienced Senior Inspector to oversee the day-to-day priorities of its Inspection Department. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will provide guidance to the inspection team while ensuring incoming materials and outgoing products meet requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise the daily activities of the Inspection Department, providing technical guidance and support to Inspectors.Work closely with other departments to coordinate workload and priorities.Manage and review Inspection Queries, Shelf Life Inventory, Product Non-Conformity and Supplier Returns.Establish and maintain appropriate inspection standards for received goods.Record, review and communicate inspection findings and outcomes.Create, manage and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102.Support continuous improvement projects and identify opportunities Participate in root cause and failure mode investigations.Record product quality concerns and ensure appropriate actions are followed through.Help maintain compliance with customer specifications and aerospace regulations About YouPrevious experience within an Inspection, Quality or Engineering position.Working knowledge of aerospace regulations and quality requirements.Practical understanding of AS9102 and ISO 2859-1. ..... full job details .....
