3600Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer£50,000 – £60,000 + bonus + car allowance + benefitsRemote (with travel to Oxford or Nuneaton for team meetings)We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure and Security team, and the chance to be one of the first in a new security remit. You’ll be reporting into the new Head of Infrastructure Security, playing a key role in building and securing the organisation’s group-wide infrastructure estate.You’ll be the go-to engineer for securing core infrastructure services, working across network, cloud, and platform environments to keep systems protected while enabling the business to run smoothly.What you’ll be doing:

Implementing and maintaining security controls across network, cloud, endpoints, and core infrastructureOwning key technologies like firewalls, SIEM, EDR, VPN, NAC, and vulnerability scannersDriving vulnerability management and hardening across the estateSupporting and responding to security incidents across infrastructure servicesEmbedding security into infrastructure changes (firewall rules, access reviews, cloud deployments)Working with engineering teams to improve the security posture of Azure and AWS platformsWriting and maintaining runbooks, standards, and procedures to raise security maturityWhat we’re looking for:

Strong background in infrastructure or network security within a complex enterprise environmentSolid knowledge of:Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, network security controlsEndpoint security (EDR, anti-malware, DLP)SIEM tools (e.g. Splunk, Sentinel)Vulnerability management (e.g. Qualys, Tenable)Cloud (Azure and/or AWS)Hands-on experience supporting or responding to security incidentsFamiliarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, Cyber EssentialsGreat documentation, troubleshooting, and communication skillsWhy join?
