Are you an experienced infrastructure specialist with very strong Veeam expertise and a solid background in VMware and Hyper-V? We''re working with an established and growing technology business near Cardiff that needs a hands-on infrastructure expert to build, manage and improve its backup and platform infrastructure. As a Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer, you''ll take ownership of the Veeam environment while supporting resilient infrastructure across VMware and Hyper-V estates. This is not an Azure DevOps role and it is not a cloud-only position. It is a hands-on infrastructure role focused on platform operations, backup, recovery, virtualisation and resilience. What You''ll Be Doing As a Senior Infrastructure Platform Engineer, you''ll: Build, manage and optimise the Veeam Backup and Replication platform. Own backup, recovery, replication and disaster recovery processes across the infrastructure estate. Act as the senior technical escalation point for Veeam, VMware, Hyper-V and wider infrastructure issues. Lead technical investigations and major incident recovery, particularly around backup, restore and platform availability. Drive automation to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Develop and maintain monitoring, observability and alerting using tools such as Grafana.
