About the Role
As our Senior Industry Affairs Manager, you''ll be a primary thought leader in the UK and Irish Life and Health markets. You''ll develop responses to government and regulatory policies, deliver technical leadership on industry hot topics, and promote Swiss Re''s objectives of building financial resilience across the population through growing the protection market. Key responsibilities include:Lead industry engagement
by acting as subject matter expert across the full range of life and health industry themes, developing and positioning Swiss Re responses with leading industry bodies and governmentSupport business growth
by using technical expertise to contribute to new business origination and proposition development activitiesCoordinate external engagement
across life and health relevant industry bodies, think tanks and working groups including ABI, ILAG, and GRiDRepresent Swiss Re
in relevant industry forums, seeking out leadership opportunities that support our strategic interestsProvide expert support
to local leadership in their external market engagement activitiesOwn flagship publications
including Swiss Re flagship reports such as Term and Health WatchCreate compelling content
through production of media pieces, reports and commentary on UK and Ireland protection industry topicsBuild strategic networks
across our client base and with key industry figuresCollaborate internally
with the Marketing and Media Relations teams to develop and execute our Marketing and Communications planAbout the Team

You enjoy interacting with clients and key market figures and have the ability to build lasting relationships across the industry.We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:Substantial experience within the UK and Ireland protection markets with detailed knowledge of regulatory, tax, and social care regimesProven experience dealing with complex public policy issues, with the ability to quickly understand technical details and provide guidanceStrong analytical skills to translate government and regulatory policy into a life and health protection contextDemonstrated lobbying and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders based on sound technical argumentsExcellent communication skills across written, verbal, and digital channels, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiencesThese are additional nice to haves:Experience representing an organization at industry conferences and eventsBackground in developing thought leadership content for various media channelsKnowledge of international protection markets and global trendsExperience in building and executing marketing and communications strategiesFamiliarity with social media platforms for professional engagement and thought leadershipFor London based role, the base salary range for this position is between GBP 88,000 and GBP 132,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,the applicant''s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements.
