About the Role

The Senior ILS Engineer position in Waltham Cross offers a permanent role with a salary between £48,000 and £62,000. You will support defence and maritime projects across the entire equipment lifecycle, from bid phases through to in-service support. Responsibilities include delivering Supportability Analysis, LORA, Spares Analysis, Obsolescence Management, and Whole Life Costing. The role requires developing logistics documentation, collaborating with engineering and customer teams, and contributing to continuous improvement. Candidates need experience in Integrated Logistics Support within the defence or maritime sector and knowledge of Defence Logistics standards. We are looking for an experienced ILS Engineer to support defence and maritime projects throughout the equipment lifecycle, from bid and development phases through to in-service support.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver ILS activities including Supportability Analysis, LORA, Spares Analysis, Obsolescence Management, and Whole Life Costing.
Support bid and proposal activities by providing ILS estimates and technical input.
Develop and maintain logistics support documentation and repositories.
Collaborate with engineering, project, and customer teams to ensure supportability requirements are met.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the growth of ILS capabilities.
Requirements
Experience in Integrated Logistics Support within the defence or maritime sector.
Knowledge of Defence Logistics Framework requirements.
Understanding of supportability analysis, maintenance planning, and lifecycle support.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
HNC and HND or degree qualification in an engineering discipline preferred.
